CODE OF CONDUCT
As part of a healthy and diverse tabletop roleplaying community, we are committed to making our games as safe and inclusive as possible. People from all around the world, encompassing many different identities, come together for a window of time to play together, and we want to make it an environment that is welcoming for all.
Discrimination
We will not discriminate on the basis of race, colour, gender identity/expression, nationality, origin, socioeconomic status or class, language, age, physical appearance, religion, creed, political beliefs, disability, or sexual orientation.
Racism and Sexism in Call of Cthulhu
Most Call of Cthulhu games are set in the past, almost or close to a century ago. It is acknowledged that racism and Sexism within this time period was more overt than it is today. This does not allow for players or DMs to make racist or Sexist comments, discriminate in their actions based on the colour of a character or player’s skin or their gender identity /expression. If you can imagine a world with ancient evils and flying fungus aliens, you can imagine a better world with no racism or sexism.
Harassment
Any form of harassment will not be tolerated.
If a DM feels that you, as a player, is harassing another player, they can immediately remove you from the session.
Harassment includes:
-
Making any threats against another player or character of a violent or sexually violent nature.
-
Offensive Language of any kind
-
Verbal comments or displayed images that denigrate individuals based upon race, colour, gender identity/expression, nationality, origin, socioeconomic status or class, language, age, physical appearance, religion, creed, political beliefs, sexuality, disability, or;
-
Physical or verbal intimidation, or any other behaviour that reasonable individuals would view as abusive;
-
Body policing, including policing gender expression based on expected social norms
-
Sustained disruption of another player or Dungeon Master talking

Appropriate Video & Game Behaviour
The big seven for our games include:
No recording or streaming please.
Each game will have other players who have not given permission for you to record them and we certainly have not given permission to record our Dungeon Masters. Just don’t do it.
Mute your mic when you aren’t talking.
This saves dogs barking, mums nagging, accidental bodily functions and lets you eat chips.
Please don’t be drunk or under the influence of drugs.
It just makes you look like a jerk.
Wear clothes please.
Please.
Make sure that your background is appropriate.
This includes accidental nudity from a family member or room-mate.
Try and listen to the other players, even when it is isn’t your turn.
You never know when the story might involve you suddenly.
Work as a team.
Our games are developed for 4-6 players working as a team for a limited time. Your success will depend on the other players.
